The use of different plastic extruders is generally different, but the normal shutdown operation is still similar.
The normal shutdown sequence of the conventional twin-screw plastic extruder is as follows:
Shutdown operation
1. First, we need to stop feeding the plastic extruder. The conventional twin-screw plastic extruder has a feeder or feeding system. If a multi-feed system is used, each auxiliary feeder needs to be stopped at this time.

2. If the extruder has a vacuum pumping system, we need to close the valve of the vacuum line, and then open the upper cover of the vacuum chamber.

3. The screw of the extruder cannot be stopped directly, and the speed of the screw should be gradually reduced, and the residual materials in the cylinder should be drained as much as possible. If the extruder uses heat-sensitive materials that are easily decomposed by heat as raw materials, use polyolefin materials to replace the residual materials in the main engine before stopping, and the twin-screw main engine can be stopped after the materials are basically exhausted. If the extruder production line uses a two-stage unit, you need to stop the first-stage extruder first, and then stop the second-stage extruder equipment.

4. Stop the main motor cooling fan, oil pump, vacuum pump, and water pump in sequence. Turn off the power switch of each section of the heater on the electric instrument control cabinet.

5. Stop auxiliary equipment such as pelletizer.

6. Close all the external water pipe valves, including the cylinder cooling water of the feeding section, the cooling water of the oil lubrication system, the vacuum pump and the cooling water of the water tank, etc. (the throttle valves of the soft water cooling pipes of the main engine cylinder do not move).
